Horseback riding: a different way to discover the Costa del Sol

The Andalusian coast is characterized by the beauty of its landscapes and the kindness of its climate. Horseback riding is a great way to discover these treasures, both inland and on the beaches of the Costa del Sol.

Horseback riding on the beach 

The picture could not be more idyllic: riding along the beach at sunset on the back of a horse. This kind of route by the sea has that touch of romanticism and poetry that makes them very special. 

The rides can be organized alone (only with the guide), in groups or pairs, and in morning or afternoon shifts to enjoy the most beautiful daylight hours. 

During the summer, it is also possible to go on night walks and enjoy the unique experience provided by the sparkles of the full moon over the sea. 

These activities usually last about an hour and a half. However, some of the riding centres that offer this service add the possibility of combining them with photo sessions, or tastings to make the experience much more complete. 

Horseback riding inland 

Inland routes also have their charm. The surroundings of Malaga capital, Marbella and Torremolinos present a changing landscape that allows you to discover the lesser-known facet of the Costa del Sol. 

They are routes of between 2 and 4 hours that cross vineyards, fields or small charming villages. In the proposals of more than 3 hours of walking, the usual thing is to take a break for lunch, so they are also a great option to know the Costa del Sol through its gastronomy.
