The 13th edition of Starlite Occidental reaches its halfway point
Marbella's big summer music event is gearing up for a second half packed with well-known names. Malú, Plácido Domingo and Ana Mena are some of the artists who complete the line-up for the last three weeks of the Starlite Occidental boutique festival.
60 days of concerts for all audiences
After twelve successful editions, Starlite Occidental has established itself as the world's longest running music festival. From mid-June to the end of August, renowned national and international artists fill the stage of the Cantera de Nagüeles, north of Marbella, with music.
Jamie Cullum and Van Morrison inaugurated the 2024 edition of one of the most important music festivals of the summer in Andalusia and beyond. And since last July, the weekend performances have given way to a much more intense line-up, with concerts from Monday to Saturday and stellar performances by Camilo, Take That, Ricky Martin and Tom Jones, among others.
In total, 60 days of concerts for audiences of all ages and with musical tastes ranging from the boleros of Luis Miguel to the national pop of La Oreja de Van Gogh or the greatest hits of the children's group Cantajuegos.
Marbella glamour at its purest
Although the highlight of the Starlite Occidental programme is the concerts, this summer festival offers the possibility to live a much more complete experience. Part of the charm of Starlite is that it is much more than just music.
Dinner at one of its four restaurants, table reservations in the Sessions area and the after parties organised after the concerts add a glamorous touch to the festival. The event also has a charitable side, which is materialised through the Starlite Foundation and the Grand Gala which each year brings together celebrities from the fields of film, fashion, art and music.
The Starlite 2024 Gala, with Antonio Banderas and Sandra García-Sanjuán as hosts and guests of honour such as Will Smith, marked the halfway point of a festival that still has a long way to go. Over the next few weeks and until 31 Agust, national artists such as Vanesa Martín, Melendi and Sara Baras, and international artists such as UB40, Nick Carter and Hauser will perform on the Starlite 2024 stage.
